Pawsibilities of Cats

With 32 different species of cats to choose from, I wanted to make sure I found the purr-fect one. I did tons of research into to finding a good cat for me and the two I liked to most was the Persian cat and the Siamese cat. I looked into both cats’ traits and qualities. I wanted a friendly cat and one that is okay with dogs because a lot of my friends have dogs that they like to bring over to my house when they visit me. I also dog sit my neighbor’s dog when they go on vacation.

The Persian cat looks cute which caught my interest right away. It is also supposed to be affectionate and adaptable. But it seemed to me that those are the positive qualities that I liked about the Persian cat. My research showed that they are not supposed to be the friendliest cat to children, strangers, or dogs. This was my number one concern so unfortunately, I had to say no to this breed. They also seemed maintenance heavy. It said that they require a lot of grooming and shed a lot which is not good for allergy purposes.

The Siamese cat checked off everything I am looking for in a cat. It is good with dogs, and respects strangers and children. Their high energy will make them a fun house pet since I have no children. Also, since I live alone, it is nice that they require very little grooming and do not shed a whole lot. My girlfriend will need to take care of the cat when I go on small trips so the fact that it is friendly and adapts well to new environments is a huge plus!

It has only been about a month since I got my kitten and she is very adorable and well
behaved. I bought Penlessstickers so I can send my family and friends videosof the cat growing up! Who doesn’t love those adorable cat videos? My neighbors brought their dog over for a visit and the cat responded very well. I am looking forward to saving and sharing all the memories with the cat through Penless.
